A new Kampf Conslit II is up and running in our North Aurora, IL, facility. This high speed slitter rewinder is designed to deliver excellent roll quality and maximum throughput. Nameplate speed is over 2,600 feet per minute, and the slit width range is from 2.0 to 80 inches. In addition, the design emphasizes operator safety with guarding, safe zones, and automated material handling. Jeff Mitchell, Plant Manager for the Illinois Operation, is impressed with the performance of this new machine. “In the past four years, we have added three state-of-the-art 80-inch slitter rewinders, and this one is the best by far. The machine is solid and yields beautiful rolls at maximum throughput. Our customers will be pleased with the roll build from the Kampf. This slitter also features roll handling equipment that improves safety for our technicians.”
Interfilm has invested heavily in the North Aurora Operation over the past four years, purchasing three high speed slitters, a new doctor machine, and adding 17,000 square feet of warehouse space. This facility is well-equipped to provide quality products with quick turnaround for our Midwest customers.
